ESQUIMALT STREET-O

Sunday, January 23, 2011

Despite morning rain it did not seem to put off a good turnout of
orienteers: new, veterans, young and old. Thanks for coming and enjoying
the urban hidden features of north Esquimalt. For those whose first time
it was for orienteering, we hope to see you soon at one of our more
navigationally challenging forest events in the near future, where you can
learn to use your compass effectively.

Congratulations especially go to an impressive score of 44/45 in just over
85 minutes to Hayden Earle. Also noteworthy is Tyler Cheek's 36 points in
the jogger's category. Well done though to everyone and we hope to see
even more at the next event - check the schedule on this website!

Thanks to our volunteers Leigh Bailey for map printing and OCAD assistance
and to Andrea Gagnon for registration.
